Welcome to Riverside School.

 

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors of Riverside School I would like to welcome you to our website. You are of course also welcome to come and see us in person where you will find a happy, caring and effective learning environment for pupils who face a variety of challenges in their daily life.

We currently support children aged 4 to 18 years who will typically have a wide variety of learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Conditions and medical or sensory impairments that present a barrier to their learning. However, we have recently changed our designation to include pupils with complex and severe learning difficulties and those with profound and multiple needs. To support this provision we now have two new extensions that include nine classrooms, a Hydrotherapy pool, a new hall, gym, sensory room and several small group rooms. A refurbishment of our existing school building has also now been completed which will see our age range will expand from 2 years old to 19 years old.
