I wonder if you have heard of The Great Big Art Exhibition? It aims to be the biggest ever and some famous artists are taking part. But it’s not just for them – it’s for us too!
People are being encouraged to draw, paint, make sculptures and get creative in all sorts of ways, then display their finished artwork in their windows and gardens for everyone to see. Just like the rainbows that we saw everywhere last year, it’s hoped that this lovely exhibition will make people smile.
The first theme for the exhibition is ANIMALS and below you will find an idea from sculptor Sir Antony Gormley that all the family can join in. If you decide to do this, you might find the play dough and salt dough recipes useful.
But you can do whatever you like – a drawing, a painting, a model - as long as it’s got an animal theme.
