Pyjamarama Day 14th May 2021

Friday 14th May saw staff and children from Riverside dress-down for the day in their pyjama's! This fun event was in aid of Book Trust. We work with Book Trust for many of our reading initiatives and so this day was a great way of us 'giving back'. Everyone donated £1, which will go to Book Trust. Book Trust ensure that the most vulnerable families have a book to share with their children so that 'no child goes to bed without a bedtime story!' Our wonderfully generous staff and pupils raised £135.00 for this cause, and enjoyed a day full of reading activities. They were even treated to a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows! Thanks to a kind donation from our local Tesco's in Goole each child also got to take home their own brand new book as a reminder of the day!
