Today’s Task

Our topic in Science this term is Plants.

I would like you to start by looking at the PowerPoint below and thinking about the wild flowers, garden flowers and trees that you already know. You might test your grown-ups too!

 

Next, follow the link to the BBC video and consider the important job of each part of a plant. Check your knowledge with the ‘Parts of a plant’ quiz below the video.

 

Your final task today is to label a plant. Choose one of the two activities below. You can:

• Complete the colouring, ordering and sticking task (lower).
• Follow the link to ‘Draw your own plant with a folding surprise’ (higher). Label your plant and add details explaining the ‘job’ of each part.
