Today’s Task

Last week we began to look at the work of Andy Warhol. Today we will continue to learn about the bright and bold work of this famous Pop Artist.

Follow the PowerPoint below to discover how Warhol showed famous people in his Pop Art Portraits.

Then have a go at creating your own Warhol-style portrait of a famous person. Use different, bright colours in each of the repeating pictures. Remember that Warhol chose colours you would not normally see in a portrait.

Choose from the portrait templates below.

  • Barack Obama – he was the president of America before Donald Trump.
  • Malala Yousafzai – she became famous in fighting for girls to be educated in Pakistan. She won the Nobel Peace Prize – a very important worldwide award – when she was just 17.
